Ethical AI Assessment

The American Council for Ethical AI provides independent, voluntary Ethical AI Assessment for organizations seeking to demonstrate responsible, transparent, and trustworthy AI practices for educational and public-interest purposes. The Advisory Board—composed of senior leaders from academia, industry, ethics, and consumer protection—reviews submitted materials related to governance policies, risk-mitigation procedures, and Ethical AI practices. Through this process, organizations may strengthen accountability, promote transparency, and align their AI systems with recognized ethical principles.

The AI Whistleblower program enables individuals to confidentially report concerns related to potentially unethical uses of Artificial Intelligence for educational and public-interest purposes. Reports support the Council’s research, analysis, and public-awareness activities aimed at promoting accountability, transparency, and public trust in responsible AI practices.  

The AI Leaderboard publishes research-based evaluations and comparative analyses of associations, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and educational programs based on their stated commitments to responsible Artificial Intelligence practices. The AI Leaderboard is informed by publicly available information and voluntary submissions reviewed for educational and public-interest purposes. Comparative assessments consider transparency, governance practices, ethical frameworks, and responsiveness to informational inquiries. 

The AI Action Center is an educational resource platform developed by the American Council for Ethical AI (ACEAI) to support organizational understanding of responsible Artificial Intelligence practices. The platform offers a curated suite of instructional agents and prompt libraries designed to support learning related to organizational operations, strategy, and communication, while promoting transparency, ethical AI principles, and respect for intellectual property. The AI Action Center also supports ACEAI’s research and analysis activities focused on ethical AI governance, risk awareness, and responsible use.
